Wellington Master Builders Awards
ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL AWARDS NIGHT....
On Friday 5th August Peter and Jon attended the 2011 Placemakers Wellington Master Builders Awards evening at the Amora Hotel in Wellington. As it turned out 2011 was one of the biggest years in terms of AD Architecture projects entered into various categories.
The following is a list of the winners:
Gold Award & Category Winner - Builders Own Home
- Barber Construction for Barber house in Pukerua Bay
Gold Award - New Homes $350,000 - $450,000
- David Reid Homes (Kapiti) Limited for McWatters house in Lower Hutt
Bronze Award - New Homes $450,000 - $600,000
- David Reid Homes (Kapiti) Limited for Dolphin house in Upper Hutt
Bathroom Excellence Award
- Barber Construction for Barber house in Pukerua Bay
Interior Style and Design Award
- Barber Construction for Barber house in Pukerua Bay
It must be noted that Heather Thorley of Colour Options was involved for the final two interiors awards for Barber Construction listed above.
There was another two projects entered that unfortunately did not receive any awards.
Congratulations to all the building companies who entered their projects. Speaking from experience, it is a hard thing to present your work to your peers but the positives usually far outweigh the negatives.
